About

The Frangipani Society of Australia is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the development and improvement of the Frangipani (plumeria) in Australia. Some of our members are working towards the creation of entirely new cultivars right now. Others are helping to establish the more rare Australian cultivars across the country, through our network of enthusiastic growers from coast to coast and overseas. We offer free advice to any frangipani grower around the world, via email, usually answered within 24 hours. As a group, we are able to organise the purchase of cuttings and seeds from overseas, in bulk quantities, dealing with all quarantine procedures on behalf of our members. Seed imports from overseas may happen once or twice each year and shipments of cuttings perhaps every second year, as this is quite a long and involved process. We run free seed-banks for both members and non-members, on both sides of Australia. We also run showcase 'frangipani education' weekends in three Australian States, helping and advising the public, at our own expense, also on-selling plants very cheaply, to teach and encourage more Australians to grow this amazingly drought-proof tree of the future
